A little about myself and why I became a celebrant. I grew up in the Waikato and moved to Auckland in my early twenties. I have lived in Devonport for the last 20 years where my family and I have run a local chocolate business. For a few years now I have had family friends ask if I would be able to officiate family funerals for them and on occasion weddings. I felt incredibly privileged to be asked and believe I was able to conduct ceremonies for them in a heartfelt, respectful and professional way, working through how the ceremony would take place in a manner that put the family, or couple at ease.
I feel it is incredibly important that in a wedding ceremony the couple take pride of place. A wedding should be a celebration of the couple and their relationship, as a funeral should be a celebration and acknowledgement of that persons life.
My celebrant style would be professional, and friendly.
